Linear

Sinatra connects to Linear through OAuth. You authorize it from the dashboard — there's nothing to create yourself.

Connecting

An owner or admin can click Connect Linear in workspace settings and authorize Sinatra in the intended Linear organization. A Linear organization can be connected to only one Sinatra workspace at a time. If it is already connected elsewhere, use that workspace or have its owner disconnect it before reconnecting.

Connecting Linear is optional — you can run entirely on GitHub issues.

Link each teammate's identity

Installing the integration and linking a human identity are separate steps. Each person who delegates work must:

1. Sign in to Sinatra and join the Sinatra workspace.
2. Open that workspace's Settings and select Link Linear identity.
3. Authorize the same Linear organization that is connected to the workspace.

Sinatra checks the delegating user's linked identity and workspace membership. Merely belonging to the Linear organization does not grant access to Sinatra. If delegation is refused, complete these steps and assign or mention Sinatra again.

Every task's sandbox reaches Linear through the workspace's Linear installation, whatever started the task, so runs do not depend on any one member's grant. The sandbox holds a proxy sentinel, not the app token, and can read and change anything the Sinatra app can in your Linear workspace. If a task shows auth_required, see Troubleshooting.

What it does

• Picks up issues assigned to Sinatra, or comments that @-mention it.
• Moves the issue to In Progress when new work starts, and posts progress back to the issue as it works.
• Says "Issue marked Done. Reply here if you need anything else." if you mark the issue Done while its PR is open.
• Links the pull request on the issue when the work is ready for review.

When the agent asks a question or proposes a plan, it replies on the issue. Reply in the agent session or in the thread of the comment Sinatra posted, or mention Sinatra in a new comment, to answer, adjust the approach, or tell it to go ahead. There is no separate approval step. A reply sent while the agent is running reaches it, with Claude Code or oh-my-pi; Sinatra decides whether it applies now, before the run finishes, or as its own next turn. See Steering a run.
