Billing
Plans, the free tier, managed-key metering, and how seats are counted.
Sinatra bills for the orchestration it runs (sandboxes, the workflow engine, the dashboard), never for the model tokens on your own key. When you use Sinatra's managed key, you pay the provider's exact cost with no markup.
Smart model routing and PR review replies are part of the product on every plan; the paid plans lift usage caps and add team and compliance features rather than gating the agent's behavior.
Plans
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | A daily task allowance, hosted sandbox, and orchestration. No card. |
| Monthly | $20 per member per month | Everything in Free, with the daily task cap removed. |
| Enterprise | Custom (annual) | SOC 2, audit logs, SSO / SAML, an uptime SLA, and a custom contract. |
The free tier
The free tier is a daily task allowance:
- 5 tasks a day on your own key or a connected Codex subscription.
- 1 task a day on Sinatra's managed key.
A task counts the moment Sinatra starts work on it, and it counts once per workstream no matter how many times the agent runs. The allowance resets at the start of each calendar day in your workspace's timezone (UTC if you have not set one).
The count follows your account, not a single workspace, so deleting and reinstalling does not reset it. When the day's allowance is used up, Sinatra stops taking new tasks until the next daily reset. To run more, subscribe, which removes the cap.
Using the managed key
What happens past the daily free task depends on whether you have a subscription.
On the free tier, the managed key is the 1 task a day above and nothing more. It runs on Sinatra's Codex subscription at no cost to you, and once it is used up you are capped until the next day. There is no pay-as-you-go on the free tier; to run more, subscribe.
On a paid plan, managed runs are metered. Each run uses Sinatra's Anthropic or OpenRouter key, billed at the provider's exact cost with no markup, and debited from a prepaid balance as the agent works. You top the balance up yourself, or turn on auto-recharge to refill it when it drops below a threshold you set. A managed run will not start if your balance is below a small floor, which keeps a long run from pushing you deep into the negative.
Metering applies to every managed run on a paid plan. The daily free Codex task is a free-tier benefit, not something a subscription adds on top.
Bringing your own key works the same on every plan: your runs use your key directly and are never metered or debited.
Manage your card, top-ups, and cancellation from the billing portal in your workspace settings.
Seats
On the Monthly plan a seat is a person who triggered Sinatra at least once during the billing period, by assigning or @-mentioning it. If the same person triggers Sinatra from both GitHub and Linear, that counts as one seat. Every workspace bills at least one seat.
Seats are counted from real activity rather than from an invite list, so you are billed for the people who actually used the agent. Sinatra reconciles the count with Stripe near the end of each billing period to avoid mid-period proration noise.
Enterprise
Enterprise is an annual contract with SOC 2 and audit logs, SSO / SAML, an uptime SLA with dedicated support, and a custom MSA and DPA. Get in touch to set it up.
